Travel and access notes
The museum is located in the grounds of a private house on Head Street, the A131 Chelmsford to Sudbury road. It is around a quarter of a mile north of Halstead town centre on the left as you leave town.
There are four pillar boxes in front of a white house, though only two are easily visible from the road.
Parking is not available directly outside the house, but unrestricted parking is usually available on Sudbury Road, around 100 yards further along.
Wheelchair access is limited because parts of the site are uneven and stepped. Please contact us before visiting so we can help with arrangements where possible.
